Walk in: 30min
Popularity: Very but less so further from the caves.
Jumps: 5m
Drive: Tar but steep, windy and narrow
The Jenolan river down stream of the caves gives an almost endless choice of swimming holes in beautiful blue water.
Fair warning the water has just emerged from under ground so it can be a tad chilly.

Getting there: Drive to Jenolan Caves and find a spot to park in the carparks up the hill. Ten walk back down through the devils Coach house and follow the path down the right side of the river.
I think swimming in the Blue pool is frowned upon but it a nice place to sit and watch the platypus. Continuing down you get to this little spot which offers a few jumps but it’s shallow and rock botttomed and tends to be busy on a hot afternoon

Continue on down the path to the dam below the old power house. This a great spot for a dip.

From there you’ll start to go off track and things get wild but swimming holes abound.
